Tibetans-in-exile seeks international support against China

Shanghai News.Net Friday 16th November, 2012

While addressing a meeting of Tibet support groups from more than 40 countries Tibetan Prime Minister Lobsang Sangay said: "Now, 74 Tibetans have died, and how many more have to die before the world speaks out, before the Chinese Government realize.

"Tibet is a litmus test for China and the world. By supporting Tibet, the international community will clearly show what they stand for," said Sangay.

Pointing out the non-violent approach of their 60-year long struggle Sangay said the international community should now recognize and focus on Tibet.

The meeting called by the self-declared government-in-exile, aims to explore ways to solicit international support against Chinese occupation and about 200 delegates are participating in a three-day meeting of Tibetan support groups

More than 70 Tibetans have immolated themselves to mark their protest against Chinese regime since 2009. (ANI)
