Katherine Jackson's attorney said he had met with his client face-to-face for the first time in several days, and that she was doing well despite the escalating family feud.
"I had a long and productive meeting today with Mrs. Jackson," Perry Sanders Jr. wrote in a statement Thursday, according to The Associated Press. "I am pleased to report that she is fine, and she laughed at the widely publicized report that she had suffered a stroke."
News of Jackson's stroke made headlines in a letter written by five of her children early last week calling for the executors of Michael Jackson's will to step down.
Sanders said he would release a formal statement Friday about his discussions with the 82-year-old matriarch of the Jackson family.
Michael Jackson's oldest son, Prince, continues to blast his famous aunts and uncles hours after his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, returned to her California home on Thursday.
"Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to," Prince Jackson tweeted Thursday.

Sources Tell ABC News that since Katherine Jackson has returned lawyers are preparing paperwork for her to regain custody of Michael Jackson's children: Prince, Paris and Blanket.
On Wednesday, a judge removed Katherine Jackson temporarily as guardian and named her grandson TJ Jackson, 34, as temporary caretaker of the late legend's children amid a bitter family dispute over Michael Jackson's estate. TJ Jackson is the son of Tito Jackson.
Katherine Jackson told ABC News in a televised statement that the court ruling was "based on a bunch of lies" and she was "devastated" the children were taken away from her.
"There are also rumors going around about me that I have been kidnapped and held against my will," said Jackson. "My children would never do a thing like that, hold me against my will. It's very stupid for people to think that."
While Jackson was away in Arizona, Paris Jackson took to Twitter, saying that she had not heard from her grandmother and she was "missing."
On Thursday Prince Jackson posted screen grabs of what he called a group text with aunts Rebbie and Janet Jackson in which he demanded to speak with his grandmother. "Don't let them pls," appears to be the reply from Janet, something Prince says he was not meant to see.
"I'll tell you they're good kids. They're really kind intelligent shockingly normal kids given their upbringing," said ABC News consultant Howard Bragman of Reputation.com.
The group text message was dated Monday, July 23, the same day Janet attempted to take Paris' cell phone away, which was seen on surveillance cameras at Katherine Jackson's Calabasas, Calif., home while she was in Arizona.
